📌 The Birthplace of Japanese Towels
In 1887 (Meiji 20), in what is now Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture (formerly Sano Village), Enjiro Satoi, a local cotton fabric manufacturer, was inspired by foreign-made towels and successfully developed a machine for towel production. This marked the beginning of Senshu Towels, the first towels ever made in Japan.
🌟 What Makes Senshu Towels Unique?
✅ Atozarashi – The Post-Bleaching Process
Senshu Towels are made using the unique “Atozarashi” method, where the towels undergo bleaching and thorough washing as the final step. This process removes all starch and impurities, ensuring that the towels are soft, clean, and highly absorbent from the very first use.
✅ Perfect for Everyday Use & Gifts
Thanks to their exceptional absorbency and gentle texture, Senshu Towels are ideal for daily use. They are lightweight, quick-drying, and long-lasting, making them a practical and high-quality choice for both personal use and souvenirs.
🎁 Take home a piece of history with a Senshu Towel – the legacy of Japan’s first towel-producing region!
