Cherry Blossoms & Stunning Views at Rinku Park

In full bloom, Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms create a stunning view with the sea, Kansai Airport, and departing planes.
Izumisano also offers popular and hidden hanami spots to enjoy sakura in different settings.


The Taiko Bridge area in Rinku Park is known as the “Sunset Hill.” From the bridge, Shiki-no-Izumi lies directly west, and on the spring and autumn equinoxes, the sun sets perfectly behind it.

It’s one of the best spots to enjoy a breathtaking sunset.


Cherry Blossoms at Ōizeki Park

Selected as one of Osaka’s Top 100 Green Spaces, Ōizeki Park offers breathtaking views from Ōizeki Bridge over the gorge.
From late March to early April, the Ōizeki Cherry Blossom Festival adds to the seasonal charm.


Cherry Blossom Path at Hine Shrine

Hine Shrine, revered as a guardian deity since ancient times, is home to a stunning cherry blossom-lined approach that harmonizes with its historic atmosphere.

Every May 4–5, the Makura Matsuri (Pillow Festival) is held, where decorative pillows are offered for good relationships, safe childbirth, and bountiful harvests.


Inunakisan Fresh Green Hiking

The 1.2km approach to Shipporyu-ji Temple is a popular power spot, perfect for a spring hike surrounded by lush greenery. After your trek, refresh at Inunakisan Onsen.

On April 29 (Showa Day) each year, the Shinryoku Yamabushi Festival features Shittō Goma (fire ritual), mochi tossing for good fortune, and a fire-walking ceremony.


Wisteria Blooms at Nakami Shrine

From late April to mid-May, purple and white wisteria flowers beautifully drape over Nakami Shrine’s wisteria trellis. Enjoy a peaceful moment surrounded by their fragrance and a clear blue sky.

Rinku Marble Beach

Covered in white marble stones, Rinku Marble Beach offers a romantic sunset view with an orange-hued sky. Visitors can also enjoy water activities and BBQs.


Hydrangeas at Nakami Shrine

During the rainy season, Nakami Shrine is adorned with vibrant hydrangeas, creating a magical, rain-kissed atmosphere.

Otaki Festival (Inunakisan Shipporyu-ji Temple)

Held annually on a Sunday in late August, this festival features Shittō Dai Goma-ku (sacred fire ritual) and waterfall meditation, offering a rare glimpse into the traditions of Shugendo.


Autumn (September – November): Harvest Season

Izumisano is known for its rich agriculture, especially sweet Senshu onions, enjoyed in salads, grilled dishes, and soups.
Visitors can also join a hands-on Senshu onion harvest experience at local farms!

Sunset Hill

Each year, September 22–24 includes Autumn Equinox Day, a national holiday in Japan.

The Taiko Bridge area, known as “Sunset Hill,” offers a spectacular view as the sun sets directly behind Shiki-no-Izumi on both the spring and autumn equinoxes. A perfect spot to enjoy a stunning sunset.

A beloved autumn attraction, Oogi Cosmos Garden reaches its peak bloom in October, transforming the landscape into a sea of pink and white flowers.

Inunakiyama Onsen Village

Warm up this winter at Inunakiyama Onsen, known for its high-quality spring water and deep relaxation benefits.
Nearby, the historic Shipporyu-ji Temple attracts many visitors for Hatsumode (New Year’s first shrine visit), adding to the area’s rich cultural charm.

Plum Blossoms Along Kashii River & Ogami Shrine

Located in Kaminogo, Izumisano City, Ogami Shrine is home to Osaka’s oldest Kasuga-style shrine building, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.

A short walk south of the shrine leads to a 1 km stretch of plum trees along Kashii River, where white and pink blossoms create a stunning spring landscape.
