Mukashin is a historic confectionery brand with around 20 stores in South Osaka, including its main store near Izumisano Station.
Signature delights include Sengoku, a traditional rice confection, and Ukō, as well as the award-winning Kogashi Butter Cake, all of which are beloved local favorites.
Looking for a perfect souvenir? Try the Shokuno Chōja Koban Onion Sablé or Financier, or the Iroha-gura Monaka, made with locally grown mochi rice from Izumisano.

Created a unique Osaka-style Mitarashi Dango, featuring a sweet soy-based filling inside the dumpling.
Launched the “Osaka Mitarashi Dango” in 1994 to celebrate the opening of Kansai International Airport.
Featured in the media and ranked No.1 as the top souvenir at Kansai Airport.

✅”The Sengoku Series – A Tribute to Senshu’s History”
◆Mukashin sees the Sengoku-bune (large cargo ships) as a symbol of Senshu’s history.
◆The signature confection “Sengoku” is named after these ships.
◆ Designed to resemble a rice bale, which was once the main cargo of Kitamae Sengoku-bune.
◆ In honor of its 130th anniversary, the recipe was refined for enhanced flavor.
◆The Sengoku filling was upgraded to use premium Tebou beans from Hokkaido.
◆ The Ukō yolk filling now contains 50% more egg, making it even richer.
⭐ A Confectionery That Tells Senshu’s History
Mukashin’s Sengoku is inspired by Sengoku-bune, a historic merchant ship that symbolizes Senshu’s maritime trade. Its rice bale shape reflects the rice transported on Kitamae-bune.
