Experience Tanabata, one of Japan’s traditional summer festivals, at Kashita Shrine. Write your wish on a colorful paper strip (tanzaku), tie it to bamboo, and take part in a cherished seasonal custom that has continued since the Heian period.
The shrine grounds also feature lively food stalls, creating a festive summer atmosphere. Visitors who register in advance (limited capacity) may also attend the evening prayer ceremony.

If you would like to join the Tanabata Prayer Ceremony, please make a reservation in advance by phone, Instagram, or directly at the shrine. Space is limited.
Participation Fee: ¥2,000 per family
This year, participants in the ceremony will receive:
🎁 A pack of four-color somen noodles
🎋 A special Tanabata wish card (tanzaku)
Write your wish on the special tanzaku, tie it to the bamboo, and take part in this traditional Japanese wish-making custom.

Wish cards are available in front of the main shrine hall.
Anyone is welcome to write a wish and place it in the collection box or tie it to the bamboo.
💡 All wish cards will be blessed during the ceremony and respectfully burned afterward in a traditional ritual.
