Yu Festival A Traditional Prayer for Water and Health at Hine Shrine
Held at Hine Shrine, the annual Yu Matsuri is a traditional festival that expresses gratitude for the blessings of water and offers prayers for good health and well-being.
Following the Shinto rituals, the locally preserved Gosha Ondo folk dance is performed as an offering, bringing the shrine grounds to life on a summer evening. The festival reflects the community’s long-standing appreciation for the Ikawa Irrigation Canal, which has supported local life and agriculture for generations, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the history and cultural heritage of Izumisano.
Easily accessible by bus from either Izumisano Station or Hineno Station, this traditional summer event is also a convenient stop before or after traveling through Kansai International Airport (KIX).
