Tsubasa Street Shopping Arcade

Head straight from the intersection at the Izumisano Station south exit, and you’ll arrive at the Tsubasa Street Shopping Arcade. This charming fully covered arcade is lined with shops, some of which may have their shutters closed, but a leisurely stroll through the area will let you feel the nostalgic charm of Japan’s good old Showa era.


Izumisano Furusato Machiyakan (Former Niigawa Residence, a Designated Cultural Property of Izumisano City)

A machiya (traditional townhouse) built during the Edo period, showcasing architectural styles from that era. In this area, known as Sano Machiba, you can still find many of these traditional homes. Recently, it has also become a popular photo spot for people dressed as anime characters.

Myokoji Temple

A historic temple founded in 1358, located just a 5-minute walk from Izumisano Station on the Nankai Main Line. The temple features a beautifully maintained garden and hosts the Kangetsusai (Moon Viewing Festival) during the Mid-Autumn Moon, where around 1,000 bamboo lanterns create a magical, illuminated atmosphere, drawing large crowds.
