Hydrangeas at Naka-mi Shrine
Hydrangeas at Naka-mi Shrine
Following the breathtaking wisteria blooms in spring, Naka-mi Shrine is adorned with vibrant hydrangeas in June. Carefully nurtured by the shrine’s flower-loving priest, these colorful hydrangeas are beautifully complemented by serene water displays.
The Hydrangea Hana-mamori (¥2,000), crafted from pruned and dried hydrangeas, is believed to bring good health and protection from misfortune, especially for women. It also makes a charming keepsake or home decoration. (Available from mid-July.)
