Nakami Fuji-no-Miya Fuji Festival〈Nakami Shrine〉

At Nakami Shrine, visitors can witness the breathtaking beauty of wisteria nurtured for over 20 years by the shrine’s flower-loving priest. Around 40 wisteria trees spanning 20 different varieties will be in full bloom, creating a mesmerizing display.
Among the highlights are the Kyushaku Fuji wisteria trellis, the Shironoda Fuji wisteria torii gate, and the Noda Fuji wisteria beside the main hall, where vibrant blossoms paint the shrine in vivid colors, enchanting all who visit.
Inspired by the shrine’s sacred crest “Fujidomoe”, the head priest has dedicated years to researching cultivation techniques, meticulously selecting color arrangements, and carefully designing the layout to enhance the beauty of the wisteria. Efforts have also been made to create a welcoming environment for visitors, which is reflected in the serene and picturesque scenery within the shrine grounds.
Additionally, for two special nights, the “Hana Akari” illumination event will take place. As night falls, the glowing wisteria blooms cast an enchanting, dreamlike glow, offering a mystical ambiance distinct from their daytime appearance.
Come and experience the soothing beauty of these wisteria flowers, lovingly cultivated with great care and dedication.
