Senshu Yellow Onion Ownership Program: Planting & Harvesting Experience

Miura Farm offers a unique chance to participate in the planting and harvesting of the Senshu Kōgyoku Onion, Japan’s first onion variety. The planting takes place every November, with harvesting from late April to early May the following year. While the farm manages the cultivation process, participants are invited to observe the growth and even help with weeding, if desired.
If you’re unable to join in person, the farm can handle the planting and harvesting on your behalf. Senshu Kōgyoku Onions are particularly challenging to grow due to their sensitivity to weather conditions and pests. However, their distinct shape and refreshing taste make them truly special. By becoming an owner, you’ll help preserve this traditional flavor for future generations.
