Located just a 7-minute walk from Nankai Izumisano Station, Okonomiyaki Izakaya Wind Bell is an easy stop for dinner during your stay in the Izumisano area.

Okonomiyaki is one of Osaka’s most beloved local comfort foods, often described as a savory Japanese pancake enjoyed by people of all ages.
Okonomiyaki Izakaya Wind Bell is a welcoming local eatery where you can truly savor the natural sweetness and umami of cabbage in every bite of okonomiyaki.
The restaurant opened in Izumisano in 2018, inspired by the wish to create a place where visitors can feel relaxed and at ease—just like listening to the gentle sound of a wind bell.

Their okonomiyaki is made with plenty of finely chopped cabbage and only a small amount of batter.
Fresh cabbage is mixed lightly in a large bowl, then spread thin and grilled to a generous size. The delicate balance of kombu and katsuobushi dashi enhances the natural sweetness of the cabbage, creating a light yet deeply flavorful taste.

The most popular menu item is the “Butatama,” a classic combination of savory pork and refreshing shiso leaves. Two types of sauce—a bold Worcestershire-style sauce and a mildly sweet, fruity sauce—are brushed on twice during grilling, adding depth and richness to the flavor.

Yakisoba is also highly recommended. Tender pork with just a hint of garlic is stir-fried with noodles loosened in a light kombu and katsuobushi dashi. As the dish is prepared right in front of you, the rising steam and savory aroma of the sauce make the experience even more enjoyable.
