Discover Osaka in Autumn! Osaka-Kansai Expo “Osaka Week – Autumn” Featuring Izumisano ：September 13–15
From September 13 (Sat.) to September 15 (Mon., holiday), 2025, the “Osaka Week – Autumn” will be held at the EXPO Messe venue inside the Osaka-Kansai Expo. Izumisano City will take part in the Regional Charm Discovery Tour!
Together with Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, and 43 municipalities across Osaka, this event showcases the rich diversity of Osaka—from food and history to culture and technology. Izumisano will welcome visitors from around the world with unique flavors, cultural experiences, and music.
🍽 Tabenahare Zone (Taste It! – Osaka dialect expression for ‘enjoy your meal’)
📅 September 13: Izumisano Gyoza
A brand-new specialty inspired by ideas from local children and perfected by artisans, who shared their ideas and refined the recipe through trial and error. The dumplings feature two kinds of onions—fresh and crisp, and sweet caramelized—and a hint of miso as a secret ingredient. Carefully crafted to be delicious even without dipping sauce! Compare it with other local gyoza from around Japan and discover this new taste from Izumisano.

📅 September 15: Senshu Towel Brush “Uchiwa-Making Experience”
Using a brush wrapped with Senshu Towel（a traditional textile from Osaka, renowned for its softness and absorbency）, a local specialty, participants can paint freely on a plain white uchiwa (Japanese hand fan). The finished fan can be taken home as a keepsake. This workshop offers both children and adults a fun way to experience the craft and culture of Senshu.

📅 September 15: LIVE performance by Izumisano City PR Ambassadors – Traditional Japanese Instrument Duo Otonoha
This powerful duo has performed over 1,500 concerts worldwide, combining the sounds of wadaiko (Japanese drums), shamisen (three-stringed lute), and shinobue (bamboo flute). Their dynamic and beautiful music captures the essence of Japan. From the Expo stage, they will deliver the resonant spirit of Izumisano to audiences across the globe.
