✂️ “The Art of Letters Woven by Scissors” – KIRIMOJI Jojo-suke Exhibition Now at Kansai Airport Island!
An exhibition of works by KIRIMOJI artist Jojo-suke is now being held at Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport through Sunday, June 29, 2025!
Visitors can enjoy around 30 heartwarming pieces, including “Kotohogi” works that transform messages of celebration, gratitude, and encouragement into charming kirimoji (cut-out letter art), as well as original illustrations uniquely combined with lettering by Jojo-suke.
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport, a special collection themed on the hotel is also on display.
On April 19 (Sat) and April 20 (Sun), A special workshop and live performance will also take place.
You’ll also find kirimoji omikuji (cut-out paper fortunes said to be surprisingly accurate) and various kirimoji works available for purchase✨

✄ KIRIMOJI Artist Jojo-suke
Gifted with dexterous hands since childhood, Jojo-suke discovered the joy of cutting paper with scissors at an early age. His unique artistic style is characterized by freehand cut-outs—crafted from a single sheet of paper without any preliminary sketches, much like drawing in one continuous stroke.
In 2018, he was appointed Tourism Ambassador of Kumatori Town in Sennan District.
He is also scheduled to appear at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
