Inunaki-san Shipporyu-ji Temple Yamabushi Grand Spring Festival
Founded in 661 AD, Inunaki-san is regarded as the birthplace of Shugendo among Japan’s sacred mountains.
The mountain is believed to be infused with ancient spiritual energy, and its primeval forest is considered a sacred training ground for ascetic practices.
The 1.2 km pilgrimage path to Shipporyu-ji Temple’s main hall is also revered as a sacred power spot.
During spring, visitors can enjoy a scenic hike through the lush forest and unwind at the nearby Inunaki Hot Spring.
