Join this special evening of sacred rituals and traditional dance at Hine Shrine, one of the most historic shrines in Izumisano.
🎐 Event Overview
🔶 Mizu-no-Kami Ceremony by the Yukawa waterway – a centuries-old irrigation canal still in use today
🏮 Gosha-Ondo Dance – a local folk performance passed down in three neighborhoods ”General visitors may watch only (participation not allowed).”
🧘♂️ Nagoshi-no-Oharae – a mid-year purification ritual using the Chinowa (sacred grass ring) and Hitogata (paper doll) offerings
🧧 Chinowa Walk-through:
Available all day from July 12 (Sat) to July 19 (Sat)
📜 Hitogata Purification:
Accepted year-round; on July 19, the shrine priests float them into Yukawa during the ritual
