Iaido Demonstration at Ogami Shrine: April 29, 2026

Experience a traditional Japanese martial arts performance at Ogami Shrine, a historic site designated as an Important Cultural Property.
This special cultural event features iaido—the art of drawing and cutting with a sword—expressing discipline, etiquette, and refined aesthetics. Visitors can watch powerful paired forms and tameshigiri (test cutting of rolled tatami mats) up close.
This year, practitioners from Germany will also participate, adding an international touch.
Surrounded by the quiet atmosphere of the shrine, it’s a cultural experience you can enjoy as a short detour during your trip or before heading to the airport.
