The 28th “The Matsuri in IZUMISANO” 2026|Danjiri, Yagura and Yosakoi Come Together :September 27, 2026

Experience three vibrant festival traditions in one place at The Matsuri in IZUMISANO, held near Nankai Izumisano Station.

The event brings together powerful danjiri, dynamically maneuvered yagura, and energetic yosakoi dancing with colorful costumes and wooden naruko clappers. The streets around the station come alive with music, movement and cheering crowds, offering visitors a close-up look at Izumisano’s local festival culture.

Danjiri and yagura are traditional wheeled festival floats pulled through the streets. Danjiri are known for fast cornering called yarimawashi, while yagura are two-wheeled floats maneuvered dynamically to traditional chants.
