Izumisano Danjiri Festival: Seven-Town Parade | September 27, 2026

The annual Seven-Town Danjiri Parade brings together seven neighborhoods from Kaminogo, Nagataki, and Yasumatsu in southern Izumisano.

Seven danjiri—large traditional festival floats pulled through the streets by local teams—parade along Osaka Prefectural Route 30. One of the main highlights is yarimawashi, a dynamic maneuver in which a danjiri makes a sharp turn at speed. Nagataki-Higashi Intersection is one of the best places to see this exciting tradition up close.

In 2026, Kaminogo Nakamura serves as the lead neighborhood. A fixed parade order will also be introduced from 2026, with the order rotating each year.

Food trucks are scheduled near the venue, adding to the lively atmosphere of this traditional autumn festival.

Nagataki Station is about 20 minutes by train from Kansai International Airport. For travelers staying near the airport before or after a flight, the festival offers a chance to experience a traditional local autumn festival.

👀 Recommended Viewing Area
Nagataki-Higashi Intersection is a major viewing point for yarimawashi. The parade can also be viewed from designated areas near Lawson and along the road by the food trucks.

For safety, some areas will be closed to spectators. Please follow local signs and staff instructions and watch only from designated viewing areas.

🚃 Access by Public Transport
From Kansai International Airport:
Take a JR train to Hineno Station, then transfer to the JR Hanwa Line for Nagataki Station. The festival area is a short walk from Nagataki Station. The journey from Kansai International Airport to Nagataki Station takes about 20 minutes.

From Namba:
From JR Namba Station, travel via Tennoji to Nagataki Station on the JR Hanwa Line. The journey takes approximately 1 hour, depending on the connection.

There is no visitor parking around the festival venue. Please use public transportation.
