Izumisano Hills Green Space is a peaceful nature park where visitors can enjoy the beauty of Japan’s traditional satoyama landscape.
Ponds, woodlands, walking trails, and scenic viewpoints are scattered throughout the park, offering a relaxing setting to enjoy the changing seasons.
From late spring to early summer, the rare Sasayuri lily, the official flower of Izumisano City, blooms in selected areas of the park.
If you’re lucky, you may also catch a glimpse of a kingfisher, known for its brilliant blue plumage.
The reflections of the sky and surrounding forest on the ponds create ever-changing scenery depending on the season and time of day. Nature observation programs and hands-on activities are held throughout the year, making the park enjoyable for both adults and children.
The observation deck offers panoramic views across Izumisano City. Surrounded by peaceful satoyama scenery, the park is an ideal place to slow down and enjoy nature away from the city. It is especially convenient to reach by car, with Kaminogo IC on the Hanwa Expressway about five minutes away.

A parking lot with approximately 130 spaces is available south of the main entrance.
The parking area can accommodate large vehicles and includes designated accessible parking spaces for wheelchair users.

The Park Center serves as the park’s visitor center.
In addition to providing a place to rest, it hosts seasonal events and workshops throughout the year. A nursing room and baby-care space are also available, making it convenient for families with young children.

🚌 Bus Stop
The “Izumisano Kyuryo Ryokuchi Park Center” bus stop is located directly in front of the Park Center.
Bus services connect the park with JR Hineno Station and Nankai Izumisano Station. As services are limited, please check the timetable before your visit.


🌿 Highlights of the Park
🌊 Mukai Pond
Mukai Pond is the largest pond in the park and one of its most iconic landscapes.
A leisurely walk around the pond takes about one hour, offering beautiful views of the surrounding satoyama scenery and seasonal nature along the way.


🌸 Taniguchi Pond
Around June, the rare Sasayuri Lily, the official flower of Izumisano City, blooms in selected areas near Taniguchi Pond.
In early summer, fireflies can also be seen along the stream beside the pond, creating a magical evening atmosphere unique to the season.
The Sasayuri viewing area is generally opened to the public for only a few days each year, and the firefly viewing event is held once annually.

🎋 Bamboo Hill
Bamboo Hill is a peaceful walking area spread across a gentle hillside.
Small ponds such as Nejiki Pond and Take Pond are scattered throughout the area, creating a relaxing environment for a leisurely stroll.
Along the trails, visitors will find charming handmade sculptures crafted from wood and bamboo. The bamboo groves and whimsical atmosphere make this one of the park’s most unique spots.


🏡 “Sato no Yakata” Rest House
Located in Ranger Plaza, Sato no Yakata is a rest area where visitors can take a break during their walk.
It serves as a relaxing gathering place and is also used for community events and park activities.


🐦 Handmade Birdhouses & Bamboo Crafts
Throughout the park, visitors can discover birdhouses and bamboo crafts created by local volunteers.


🌳 Dialogue Theater – Inochi no Akashi
Preparations are underway to relocate and develop “Dialogue Theater – Inochi no Akashi,” a pavilion that attracted attention during Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
The symbolic ginkgo tree has already been transplanted to the site, and the facility is scheduled to open in fiscal year 2028.


🥾 Free Bamboo Walking Sticks
Visitors may borrow bamboo walking sticks free of charge.
Made from bamboo thinned within the park, they provide extra support on slopes and walking trails while also contributing to local environmental conservation efforts.
Please return the walking sticks to their original location after use.


⭐ Highlights
🌸 Sasayuri Lily – Izumisano’s Official Flower
Izumisano Hills Green Space is an important conservation site for the Sasayuri lily, the official flower of Izumisano City.
Around June each year, guided Sasayuri viewing tours are held with volunteer Park Rangers. Visitors can enjoy a rare opportunity to enter protected areas that are normally closed to the public and learn about the conservation of these beautiful native flowers.

🐦 Seasonal Nature & Wildlife
The park is home to a rich variety of wildlife, including wild birds, insects, and native plants.
Birdwatchers may spot species such as kingfishers, Japanese white-eyes, mandarin ducks, and other seasonal visitors. If you’re lucky, you may even encounter a wild rabbit.
As this is a natural habitat for wildlife, please observe animals quietly and avoid disturbing them.

From the park’s elevated viewpoints, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Izumisano City and the area toward Kansai International Airport.
On clear days, the wide-open scenery makes this a perfect place to take a break during your walk.
