🚉 Railway Town Izumisano: Then and NowExhibition Period: Until August 31, 2025
Did you know that Izumisano is known as a “Railway Town”?
The JR Hanwa Line and the Nankai Main Line run through Izumisano City, both offering direct access to Kansai International Airport (KIX). These two lines also provide convenient transportation between Osaka City and Wakayama City. The city is also a paradise for railway photographers, with many famous photo spots often called “sacred grounds” by train enthusiasts.
This special exhibition takes you on a journey through the past and present of Izumisano, shaped by the development of its railways.
This exhibition features old station name signs and train parts that were actually used, as well as route maps issued by railway companies and a diorama that recreates the city.
Explore how the railways have influenced Izumisano’s growth and immerse yourself in a nostalgic yet informative experience.
